Daimler is using various and heterogenous IT applications to support their distribution logistics network in small/medium markets. These applications are approaching their end of life. Microsoft Consulting Services (MCS) was chosen to implement a new D365 Supply Chain Management solution called “SMS”, based on a global core template with the Thailand site as a pilot (later Brazil due to the IPO of the Daimler Truck AG).
MCS delegated to ER-Consult the full scope of the Warehouse Management remote implementation in Brazil. The warehouse area in Brazil to automate was as large as 70928 m², it was manned by 100+ blue collars and stored ~40 thousand SKUs.
The solution modelling and configuration phase was completed in August 2021, it closely followed the D365 WHS standard and required practically no customizations at all but the business documents and warehouse labels. It caters for inbound ASN receipts, deconsolidation, simple quality control in the Inbound, re-labeling, binning strategies by the location zone, size, velocity. It also supports outbound shipment and wave consolidation, picking by location / by order, printing of picking (wave) labels, HI (forklift) and LO (manual) picking, primary picking location replenishment, packing and outbound load and route management, dangerous (hazardous) material handling, warehouse work exceptions handling, spot / perpetual / yearly counting.

In the course of the ERP system migration the BWT AG group chose to harmonize and refine most of the operational processes. I was entrusted with the development of the BWT Group Standard for Production and Project management in D365 FO, with an immediate implementation in the subsidiaries of the group.
The resulting concept encompasses the ‘classic’ Production module in conjunction with the advanced Warehouse management on mobile devices, from the Manufacturing execution terminals through to Kanban a.k.a. Lean manufacturing. In January 2019, this integrated solution for Production management replaced the legacy tandem of Navision and AS/400 at the Spanish plant in Cervelló near Barcelona.
In 2019-2020 the solution was rolled out in the French factory simultaneously at the 2 production sites in Saint-Denis and Is-sur-Tille next to Dijon. I supported them in production planning and manufacturing execution adoption, integration with an external service order management system. I laid ground of the Group Standard for the project execution i.e., engineering and fabrication of industrial water treatment facilities. The system went live on the 5th of August 2020.
Currently, 2 smaller production sites in Austria and Germany are rolling in.

The Kudelski Group had chosen the Microsoft Dynamics platform to serve its customers from sales through manufacturing, implementation, delivery and on-going support of digital TV solutions. In 2014, I took the lead of the finance and project accounting automation and implemented project management, time and expense tracking on Dynamics AX 2012 in the Welsh and German subsidiaries of Kudelski.
Later in 2016 I supported data upgrade from AX2012 to AX7 aka Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations, and continued with AX7 rollouts in Spain and the United States. In 2017 I was designing the Sales Execution and Revenue Recognition (IFRS 15) processes in the core Swiss companies of the group. The system went live on the 5th of January 2018.
In 2018 Kudelski sold its SmarDTV businesses to the Neotion group. I supported the transfer of sales and project management IT assets into a new D365FO tenant. The transition took place in August 2018 without any service interruption.
Another step in the company transformation was the integration of the Norwegian Conax organization. A D365FO roll-out had to increase cohesion and bring worldwide sales and R&D closer together, help harmonize the Group product portfolio and eliminate duplicate positions. I supported sales operations and the project management office in this effort. The system went live in Norway on the 1st of October 2018.
This strategic project had been concluded in the 1st half of 2019 by a challenging migration of the ‘overlayered’ code to the extension programming paradigm. My architectural support helped Kudelski embark onto the ‘evergreen’ D356FO v10 version.

The Dynamics AX ISV solution ‘FWI Print and Packaging’ was selected by Constantia to become the 2nd division standard beside SAP. I took responsibility for a group-wide system template and implemented the system in 2010 at the Danish plant of the group, caring for the finance and tax accounting, fixed assets, PDM, shop floor control and warehouse management.
Roll-ins at 2 Polish plants followed in 2011; in the course of the migration onto the new system we processed 70 GB of historical data within a weekend.
In 2012 I rolled out the system within 6 months with a team of 4 consultants and 2 developers at the Russian factory of Constantia. I was solely responsible for the implementation of the local financial accounting, group reporting and consolidation, product data management, logistics, sales and purchasing, accounts receivable and payable, data migration from Scala. Besides that, I took care of project planning, task assignment, sub-contractor selection, system architecture and quality assurance.
